Da Vinci Code

The last time I read about it was 1 and a half years ago. And after hearing the comments about how bad the movie was, I thought ok it's one of those gimmick movies  again - the most anticipated movie of the year as they put it, hence I did not habour any hopes that it would be a good movie as suggested, to watch about. Not only just that, the reviews I read about was horrible too. But upon watching it on the first 15 minutes, I thought otherwise. In fact, it did so naturally to make me visualise back again how the plot was etched into my mind when I first read about it. For me it was not as boring as critics had claimed, I thought the director had done a decent job in keeping the flow and it was so much of a suspense while watching it.

As for the storyline of the book, I like the whole idea of how Mary Magdelene was being pursued into one of the human most sought after mystery - the holy grails. And then, it was speculated too that Mary Magdelene conceived a baby with him named after Jesus Christ, and among others interesting speculated facts with some of the prominent members of Priory of Sion, a nearly 1,000-year-old secret society including Leonardo Da Vinci, Sir Isaac Newton, Hugo Victor, etc all of them who have guarded the greatest well-kept secret ever in the entire human history - the existence of chronicle carriers who inherited the bloodline of Jesus Christ and Mary Magdelene. It was also construed that how those Vaticans/Bishops - high ranking clergies who took the gospel seriously back then could possibly be political leaders, contrary to what other people believed and seeing them as priest.

Anyway, if you haven't read the book yet, I won't spoil it for u. All I can say is, great book, great twist. You should get it.
It keeps you hot up from the beginning till the very end, although I felt they could have signed off the book in a better way. Having said that, however, I still think it's a world-class page-turner and a riveting novel one must read and you only have to read it to understand what I mean.
